ELECTRONICS AND APPLIANCES · PRODUCTION PLAYBOOK

Electronics and appliances imagery that stays consistent at catalogue scale.

Electronics and appliances teams manage precise industrial design, screens, ports and specification-led listings. This playbook covers capture inputs, editing decisions, department handoffs and the quality controls needed to protect clean geometry, neutral colour, correct ports and controlled display reflections.

01

A production brief your team can reuse

Remove studio dust and rig reflections. Preserve all ports, vents and printed controls. Replace the blank display only with the supplied approved screen asset and match perspective without changing bezel width. Common jobs include screen and reflection cleanup, dust removal, cable and port protection, background extraction, bundle composition, generation-aware naming. The approved decisions become a versioned specification rather than disappearing into email.

02

Treat functional details as protected content

A connector, indicator, vent or printed control may look like a blemish to a general editor. Technical products need a protected-detail list and generation reference before cleanup starts.

03

Handle screens as supplied assets

Screen replacement uses the authorised artwork, correct perspective and plausible display luminance. It should not create a capability or interface the product does not have.

04

Keep generations and bundles traceable

Near-identical models require strict SKU, generation and included-accessory naming. QC verifies identity as well as appearance.

05

Move the full range without losing product identity

Device, folder and secure-link uploads keep source names attached to the order. Department roles separate preparation, product questions, review and billing. Approved masters can then become controlled outputs for consumer-electronics stores and comparison marketplaces, while exceptions remain visible instead of blocking the entire range.

PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Questions teams ask before production.

01Can you add content to a blank screen?

Yes, only from customer-supplied approved artwork and without misrepresenting product functionality.

02Can cables be removed?

Only if the output is intended to show the product without them and the product edge is visible enough to reconstruct accurately.

03How are similar generations separated?

Use model-generation-SKU filenames and require identity checking during both production and QC.
